About AudioExtractly
AudioExtractly is an independent web utility built to make media track extraction simple, transparent, and completely private.
Our Mission
Most online video converters require users to upload their personal video and audio files to remote servers, subjecting users to slow upload times, file size queues, and unknown privacy risks. Our mission is to demonstrate that modern web standards can perform heavy media processing directly on your own device—giving you speed, full control, and absolute privacy.
Why In-Browser Processing Matters
Media files often contain private home videos, confidential recordings, commentary tracks, and personal conversations. Sending such content across the internet to an untrusted cloud server creates needless security exposure. By compiling robust media processing libraries into WebAssembly, AudioExtractly delivers workstation-level track inspection and extraction right in your browser tab.
What AudioExtractly Does
Multi-Track Audio Extraction
Inspect multiple embedded audio streams in MKV, MP4, and WebM containers, selecting individual language or commentary tracks to export separately.
Silent Video Export
Remove all audio tracks from a video without re-encoding the video stream where the container allows direct stream copying.
Embedded Subtitle Extraction
Export supported embedded text subtitles (SubRip .srt, WebVTT .vtt, ASS .ass) into standalone subtitle files.
In-Browser Track Preview
Preview individual audio streams and supported video playback directly in the browser before extraction.
Honest Boundaries (What We Do Not Do)
We believe in technical honesty. AudioExtractly does not perform AI vocal removal, audio source separation (splitting speech from background music), speech-to-text transcription, or OCR on image-based subtitles. It is a precise stream extractor for media tracks already contained within your file.
Built with Open Source
AudioExtractly is powered by FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, built with Astro, React, and Tailwind CSS. We are proud to build upon the open-source multimedia ecosystem.
